Being a bit “old school” and wanting to be 100% sure we were fitting the right fire suppression system to our own cars, we thought we’d do a real life “test”. Hopefully you’ll agree it does just what it needs to do.

NO VW’s were hurt in the making of this video…
We wanted to make sure that the system really worked but as we love our VW’s, strangely enough not many members of the team came forward to say we could set their beloved bus on fire!

What to do if you are unlucky enough to have an engine bay fire:
- Switch off engine
- Release bonnet – Do Not Open
- Get everyone out of the vehicle
- Get far away from the vehicle and stay away, keeping onlookers and others away
- Dial 999 and call the fire and rescue service
- Warn oncoming traffic, if safe to do so.
